I offer instruction in real estate, city planning, and management. My research interests include market analysis techniques with a particular emphasis on housing. I joined the faculty in 1985 and bring a broad range of professional experience to the Department, having been former president of Urban Properties Company—a real estate development firm—and former executive director of the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority. I have also been involved with diverse architectural projects and was formerly a partner with David A. Crane and Associates of Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, I taught at the University of Pennsylvania in its program in Civic Design. I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree at Iowa State University and my Master of Architecture and City Planning degrees at the University of Pennsylvania.
